For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgement. (James 2:13)
Jesus was full of grace and full of truth. Likewise the Spirit of God convicts us of the full truth of our state before God, but does not leave us there but lead us to Christ where we might find rest for our souls at the foot of the Cross. Looking to the Lamb of God being slain for us, we find His mercy. This is where His mercy triumphs over judgement. We need to forgive likewise.
