He Takes Pleasure

He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy. (Psalm 147:10-11)

Within these words, God reveals in what He delights. So much different than the survival of the fittest, or to be the strongest, the Lord takes pleasure in those that fear Him and know their own weaknesses. Because they know their shortcomings and are well aware with their own iniquity, they cling to Jesus, as they hope in His mercy. What a precious thought that God takes pleasure in those that do not trust in themselves but in Him, and His salvation work and atonement on the cross!
