Do Not Fear

“Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My law: Do not fear the reproach of men, Nor be afraid of their insults. For the moth will eat them up like a garment, And the worm will eat them like wool: But My righteousness will be forever, And My salvation from generation to generation.” (Isaiah 51:7-8)

Within these words, God encourages those who are in right standing with Him. Those that love Him and therefore listen to His instructions, not following their own devices. Although unbased slanders, insults or reproaches may come your way, it can’t change the nature of the tree. People can cave messages on the tree, spit on the tree or hit the tree, but if the tree is a good one, it will keep on bearing good fruit. A Christian’s calling is to bear good fruit in and out of season.
