It Is God!

“Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!” (Matt 23:37-39)

Within these words of Jesus there is a heart rending plea. He tried to gather their children unto Him, but they were unwilling. They were unwilling by the way they treated the prophets and stoned those sent to them. Thereafter Jesus made a profound statement. Because of their unwillingness, their own home will become empty as He has left them and has departed from them. They will not be able to see Him anymore until they acknowledge those that God has anointed and sent to them.

It is a fearful thing to mishandle those God has anointed to minister to His people.
