If the world hates you, you know that it hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but beause you are not of the world, but I have chosed you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. (John 15:18-19)
Christians sometimes go through great trials and tribulations. They feel the full spectrum of hate that arises from hell. Yet, in great suffering we might take hope… for we are not part of this world. Only a short while, then we will see Him and all tears will be put aside for all eternity!
Hast thou no scar?
No hidden scar on foot, or side, or hand?
I hear thee sung as mighty in the land,
I hear them hail thy bright ascendant star,
Hast thou no scar?
Hast thou no wound?
Yet I was wounded by the archers, spent,
Leaned me against a tree to die; and rent
By ravening wolves that compassed me, I swooned;
Has thou no wound?
No wound? No scar?
Yet, as the Mater shall the servant be,
And pierced are the feet that follow Me;
But thine are whole;
can he have followed far
Who hath no wound nor scar?
