But The Lord

But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel (Joel 3:16)

To know God as a stronghold and refuge is something special. It is not God’s children that need to defend themselves. God is the One who sees all and judges all. Abraham Lincon once said, “it is not my concern whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right“. In this, Daniel of the Bible was on God’s side and therefore under His protection. It is us, mere humans that need to move to God’s side. It is indeed a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God, and be found on the wrong side.
