To Be Hated Without Reason

As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both Me and my Father. But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated Me without reason’. (John 15:24-25)

Thoughts for today: 7 May 2020

In this life, a true christian will face many trials and tribulations. As you purposed in your heart to live for God, you will meet up with opposition of various kinds. In a way we learn through these times what Christ had to go through for our sake. He has been unjustly treated, mocked, slandered and made out to be a criminal, even though He always did good. They hated Him without reason, and He patiently took it. Thinking about Him, and what He willingly suffered, on our behalf, leave us humbled; as we turn to Him and find forgiveness for our own wrongs.

May we never forget this great dead He had done for us!
