If Only You Knew…

Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the ‘gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water… The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw…” (John 4:10 & 15)

There was this moment in this sinful woman’s life, where God visited her. A moment with far reaching consequences. This was the most decisive moment in her life, when she asked Him “give me of this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw…“. Then Christ pointed out the things in her life that hindered that living water to flow from her. She acknowledged her sin (the things she tried to satisfy her spiritual thirst), and soon became a flowing stream of living water to her community. She gathered all in her city and brought them to Christ. Many from that city believed in Him and found life.

Friend, have you came to the point in your life where you answered Him “give me this living water”? Maybe you are drawing from the pits of drug addiction, pornography or any other shameful thing. You have become a slave, and need to draw continuously poisoned water from the pits of your own choices. Don’t miss your opportunity when He visits you.
