But take heed to yourselves, lest you hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkeness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man. (Luke 21:34-36)
This text highlights the importance to watch and pray. We are to be careful also during this strange time of the pandemic. For the cares of this life may draw our attention away from things that are real and important. This portion provides us with advice. The way how we should be careful is to watch and to pray always. To be at God’s feet imploring Him that we might be count worthy before Him, also on that great Day.
