And He took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his sarms, he said unto them. Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receives Me; and whosover shall receive Me, receives not me, but him that sent Me. (Mark 9:37)
While his disciples were arguing about their own importance, Jesus took a little child in his arms. The ones that need to be fed and looked after. Selfimportance turns our focus onto ourselves while neglecting the flock that needs attention. Our love for Christ (and our true greatness) is measured by the way we care for the weak and unimportant ones in our own eyes.
