THE CHARGE
Dear unconstitutional court,
Your flag’s been raised,
Your vuvuzela blown,
Your true colours shown.
You’ve legalized dagga. Really?
Then you’re all users. No?
Then there are skeletons in your cupboards.
Or you’re cowards.
Pure objective decision-making, you say?
You’re choosing not to see.
Or else, you really don’t see.
Which is worse?
Dear unconstitutional court,
Because of your decision,
Honest citizens are suffering.
The holocaust has begun.
You have authorized our murders,
Facilitated our rapes,
Crushed our hopes,
KILLED our beloved country!!
Sure, they smoke in their own homes.
Never share a leaf.
But then? Ignition keys turn…
Fires of hell begin to burn…
Dear unconstitutional court,
Look at your hands…
As Lady Macbeth said:
THAT DAMN SPOT WILL NOT OUT.
